A going-out-of-business sale was underway Friday at Toys "R" Us stores across the country including the chain's stores in Waco and Killeen.

Lazarus, who was born on October 4, 1923, was inducted into the Toy Industry Association's Hall of Fame in 1990. Toys R Us credit cards, for instance, will be honored through the liquidation sales but customers won't earn any reward points.
