Most Israelis don’t commemorate relatives lost in Holocaust

Like, 80% of Americans have never been to a Holocaust museum, and that's pretty surprising given the number of them.

The notorious Auschwitz concentration camp was located in German-occupied Poland, but 41% of Americans and 66% of millennials, could not identify the camp.

Just under a third (31 percent) of those surveyed do not believe that 6 million Jews were killed during the Holocaust and think the real death toll is at least 2 million lower.

Two-thirds of American millennials can not identify what Auschwitz is, according to a study released on Holocaust Memorial Day that found that knowledge of the genocide that killed 6 million Jews during World War II is rapidly fading among American adults, especially those ages 18 to 34.

After three years, he says he survived gas chambers and eventually escaped from Nazi captivity. And while 90% of the Jewish population in Baltic States was killed, awareness that the Holocaust occurred in these countries is in the single digits.

Claims Conference President Julius Berman expressed concern about the lack of knowledge about the Holocaust among millennials. The percentage increased to 41% among millennials, defined as those aged 18 to 34.
