Queen Elizabeth Gives Handwritten Consent to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

The "Instrument of Consent", Queen Elizabeth's formal consent to Prince Harry's forthcoming marriage to Meghan Markle. Each include a rose because it's the national flower of the United States and both also feature Harry's Label.

The first six people in line to the throne must seek the Queen's approval to marry. He was bumped to sixth with the birth of his brother's son Prince Louis last month.

The 92-year-old royal has given her approval to the marriage in an Instrument of Consent, which is a hand-written document that will be given to the loved-up couple after they tie the knot. The memento with attractive details celebrating Harry and Meghan's heritage.

"My Lords, I declare my consent to a contract of matrimony between my most dearly beloved grandson, Prince Henry Charles Albert David of Wales and Rachel Meghan Markle, which consent I am causing to be signified under the Great Seal and to be entered into the books of the Privy Council". There are also olive branches beneath it which were inspired by the Great Seal of the United States.

The Queen's signature, "Elizabeth R" can be seen at the top right of the document, which will be presented to the newlyweds after their wedding.
