Iran to restart uranium capacity building process, says country's nuclear agency

Binyamin Netanyahu the Israeli prime minister presented on TV in April what he said was evidence of Iran’s duplicity

If Israel discovers that Iran has resumed the development of its nuclear program and is advancing it, "a US-led worldwide coalition will threaten and then deal Iran a military blow".

"Our enemies will never be able to halt our nuclear progress. It is their bad dream and will not happen", Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said in a televised speech.

The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the Iran nuclear deal, has been jeopardized since US President Donald Trump announced his decision to withdraw from the agreement and reinstate anti-Tehran sanctions, lifted as part of the global accord.

Under the 2015 deal with the US, France, Germany, Britain, Russia and China, Iran agreed to significantly curtail its uranium enrichment capacity so that it could not develop atomic bombs.

Shortly after Khamenei's speech, French automaker PSA announced it was pulling out of two joint ventures to sell its cars in Iran owing to the United States sanctions.

The vote came after Iran and the P5+1 group of countries signed a nuclear agreement in 2015. The JCPOA allows Iran to pursue a peaceful nuclear program for commercial, medical and industrial purposes in line with worldwide non-proliferation standards.

French officials have said that Macron will also raise the issue of the Palestinian territories.

The company is also funding news videos, created exclusively for Facebook by publishers it would not yet name. Trending was introduced in 2014 but was intensely controversial from the beginning.

European signatories have suggested that the JCPOA should be renegotiated to cover Iran's ballistic missile program and to curb its spreading influence in the Middle East, buoyed by conflicts in Yemen, Syria and Iraq.

Israel's intelligence minister called for a military coalition against Iran if the Islamic Republic were to defy world powers by enriching military-grade uranium. The Trump administration has said it will apply severe sanctions on Iran by the end of the year, including penalties against companies that trade with the country.

The threat prompted a response from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who reminded the world this is exactly why Iran can never be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon.

On Sunday, Khamenei's office tweeted what appeared to be an old quote from Iran's top leader that referred to Israel as a "malignant cancerous tumour" that needed to be removed. Kamalvandi has said Iran is preparing to expand its uranium enrichment capacity.

France's PSA, which manufactures Peugeot and Citroen cars, on Monday became the latest to announce its plans to pull out of Iran, where it sold almost 445,000 cars past year.

Supporters also fear the reimposition of United States sanctions could hit European firms that have done business with Iran since the accord was signed.

The nuclear deal and lifting of punishing nuclear related worldwide sanctions created optimism in Iran after years of economic isolation. "We will continue our support for oppressed nations", Khamenei said.
