SpaceX launches communication satellite, ditches old booster

SpaceX will live-stream the launch of the Falcon 9 rocket

Satellite operator SES has confirmed that its SES-12 craft was successfully launched onboard a "flight-proven" SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral in Florida, US, at 00:45 local time.

Racing away to the east, the booster put on a brilliant light show as it powered out of the dense lower atmosphere, smoothly accelerating as it consumed its load of liquid oxygen and kerosene rocket fuel.

Payer traveled from SES headquarters in Luxembourg to watch the launch of his company's SES-12 satellite. The satellite will be deployed roughly 32 minutes after liftoff. It's such a powerful upper stage.

The company SpaceX Elon musk moved to end 2018 mid 2019 commercial launch his spaceship with humans to orbit the moon.

Bryson DeChambeau captured his second PGA title with a birdie at the second play-off hole to win the Memorial. Stanley fell out on the first playoff hole with a bogey, and then DeChambeau birdied the second for victory.

Visa payment disruption hits Europe
The bank HSBC said the "industry-wide issue" was affecting Visa payments, though ATM machines were still working. United Kingdom bank NatWest said it was also looking into reports of card payments being declined.

The booster was not recovered for a second time and was instead allowed to crash into the ocean.

Musk also wants to reuse the two-stage Falcon 9's upper stage and its payload fairing - the nose cone that protects satellites during launch. At that altitude and equatorial orientation, satellites take 24 hours to complete one orbit and thus appear stationary in the sky despite Earth's rotation.

The SES-12 satellite is able to carry more communications payloads because it carries very little of the chemical fuel most spacecraft use to maneuver and hold their positions.

Martin Halliwell, Chief Technology Officer at SES said, "More content". "We're going really high". The satellite will join SES-8 at 95 degrees East. "The Airbus team has now started SES-12 Electric Orbit Raising (EOR) operations". Among a number of use cases, it is created to expand the operator's capabilities to provide direct-to-home (DTH) broadcasting in the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region, including rapidly growing markets such as India and Indonesia. The rocket is carrying a communications satellite. "And satellite is one of the (ways) - and sometimes the only way - to connect.to those markets".
